GV Band Night!
To Grand Valley 6th grade beginning band students who do not have an instrument, and their parents:
There will be an instrument rental meeting on August 19th at 6:30 PM in the Band Room.
This is during Meet the Teacher night and should not last very long.
Daybreak Band Instruments will be here to discuss renting an instrument for this year.
Please be prepared with two choices of which instrument your student would like to play
A big thank you and shout out to the GV community and Orwell Dairy Queen for donating 3 carts full of school supplies!!
6th-8th grade NEW STUDENT orientation will be at 5:45 p.m. on 8/19/19 in the Elementary School Cafeteria for all new students and parents. At 6:00 p.m. the student and parents can attend Meet the Teacher night and can bring their school supplies to put in lockers.
9th grade orientation was a success! Thank you parents and students for coming.

Girls Soccer Day at Turn 4 Grill and Bar! Thursday, August 15th; 6am-7pm. Come out and enjoy a good meal and support your girls soccer team!
The Fifth-grade orientation will begin at 5 PM on Monday, August 19 in the middle school cafeteria. All students can bring their school supplies to put in their lockers and will have the opportunity to get their schedule and locker combination.
Freshmen Orientation:
Orientation will be August 14th at 9:00 am. You will get your schedule, locker number, and locker combo.
See you then 9th graders!
(New high school students that are not in 9th grade are welcome to come, we may not have your schedule ready but you can get your locker info and look around!)

HUGE HUGE thank you to the staff at the Ashtabula County Medical Center for holding a Stuff the Bus Drive! 9 big boxes of school supplies came in yesterday and they will be divided between the GV elementary, middle and high school buildings. Have a great day GV!

Open run club for ALL high school and Jr High kids interested in running Cross Country this year, starts Monday July 22nd, 7:30 to 9 am . Please meet at the track. Bring a water!! First official day of practice for high school and Jr High Cross Country starts Aug 1st, 7:30 to 9 am. Make sure you have a current physical.
The middle school library will be open today from 4:00-6:00 for any of our kids who need to restock their summer book supply 📚❤️🤗

From Denise Fisher GVHS Athletic Trainer:
There will be an open female weight lifting for high school athletes. Trainer D will be opening up the weight room from 9-11 am Tuesday-Friday through July 9th. The weight room will be closed on July 4th. Female athletes are free to come and go during that time frame. She will also help give the athletes some structure or they can do their own routine. Parents and athletes can communicate with Trainer D on Remind: Girls Strength and Conditioning- Trainer D/ Code- @k2fef4. She will be updating daily on Remind for the location: Field House, Weight Room, Gym or High School Weight Room.
