Grand Valley Local Schools conducted a lockdown drill today in cooperation with the Orwell Police Department and the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Department. The school is required to conduct lockdown drills. To minimize the disruption to the students’ education the drill practiced was a reverse lockdown drill where students are to remain in the classroom, away from windows, but teachers can continue to teach. These drills are used when there are potential threats on the community. To practice this drill and utilize our time wisely, the Sheriff’s department worked with Grand Valley and OPD and brought the canines to conduct a search in the parking lot. Grand Valley is proud to announce that the campus parking lot was free of drugs. We would like to extend a thank you to both OPD and Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Department for helping keep our students and faculty safe.

We will gladly accept your gently used kids/teen clothing donations through Monday April 7th. We will then organize it so that on Saturday April 26th from 12-3pm you can come "shop" for FREE. This is a great way to declutter all the clothes that they no longer fit or want and get some "new" clothes for free. *** You do NOT have to donate in order to receive***

Grand Valley High School Teams Up with A-Tech and Business Professionals for Senior Mock Interviews! Grand Valley High School teamed up with A-Tech and local business professionals to give seniors valuable interview experience. The goal was to provide students with a real-world opportunity to practice showcasing their strengths and achievements. Through personalized feedback, students gained insights to strengthen their interview skills, leaving them better prepared to pursue career opportunities. Students also learned the importance of selling themselves by answering the question: "Why should I hire you over other candidates?" Many left feeling more confident and appreciated the opportunity to practice in a supportive setting. By working together, Grand Valley High School, A-Tech, and local business professionals are helping students develop the skills needed to confidently enter the workforce.
